For the first time in the history of modern Israel a unique work of art has been created to honor "Jerusalem - the City of David" - on its 3000th anniversary. This art object combines a unique perfume with a prestigious state medal. Jerusalem is the spiritual center of the three monotheistic religions of the world. The city had its famous kings, and heroes, as well as its legendary beauties: Bath Sheba-the wife of King David and mother of King Solomon; Shlomtzion-Alexandra, Rachel - the wife of Rabbi Akiva - whose love and faithfulness earned her the jewel of "Golden Jerusalem". Perfume in ancient times symbolized worship and love. Medals are the symbol of the everlasting power. Present, past and future. The original idea of Perfume and Medal "Jerusalem 3000" was initiated by the former chirmain of the board of the Israel Government Coins and Medals Corporation, the legendary General Uzi Narkiss, liberator of Jerusalem during the Six Day War. General Narkiss commisioned the First lady of the Israeli perfume industry, Judith Muller, the creator of the classic "Bat Sheba" Perfume, to conceive an original scent. This would combine the glory of the past with the eternal future of Jerusalem. Dan Dakar the Manager of Ein Gedi Cosmetics joined in order to produce and realize this unique project. Perfume "Jerusalem 3000" is a composition of spicy, Oriental-Flora with Myrrh and Frankincense, based on an ancient formula, long lasting, pure with intense presence. One face of the Medal has the "Jerusalem 3000" state medal designed by Yacov Anidi; and the other face, designed by Ruben Nutels, features the famouse Bat Sheba Perfume bottle, bearing the biblical quotation: "neither was there any such spice..." (II Chronicals, IX (9). The perfume bottle is a replica of an ancient phial, originated in the Holy Land. It is hand-painted in various colors and hues. These bottles are sold at prestigious auction houses as unique Art Objects. Each bottle has a brass base with a serial number, indentical to that printed on the medal, thus assuring the Collector's Item value.
